DW (Delta Whiskey) Backcountry
$405.00 – $445.00
The sheath for this knife is sold separately through Doug Wilson of Yellow Hawk Custom Kydex. He designed the knife and we’re proud to be able to bring you the incredible blade that he has conceived. Here is a description of the knife in Doug Wilson’s words:
“I am an ex-special ops soldier with 40 plus years using the finest knives in just about every environment,” Doug tells us in his own words. “I have never really found one knife that would do everything I wanted a ‘one tool option’ to do. So, based on my experiences in the bush, bushcrafting, teaching wilderness living skills to both soldiers and civilians, camping, wilderness backpacking, hunting, etc., I designed a true ‘one tool’ option that can do most tasks well — including food prep and skinning, which is where most blades suffer. This blade will do the tasks that a medium sized blade, a large blade, and a skinner style blade will do, and it does it with CPM3V, one of the finest steels available for hard-use knife building. It’s tougher and more wear-resistant than any forgeable steel.”

As the founding member of WETOA (Wallace Edge Tools Owners Association) I’d like to be the First Reviewer of the DW Backcountry.
First Off , Mike Wallace is True Craftsman, he makes it right… If it’s not, Mike does not send it out.
At First inspection the Knife looks big , possibly unwieldy , but it’s not till you hold it in your hand…. It’s then that it all makes sense. Doug Wilson designed it , but Mike Wallace makes it all flow seamlessly. The Handle fits the hand awesomely , no hot spots to rub when your using it. The handle flows into the Blade and that blade is made of CPM3V Steel. Such a high quality Steel, Awesome edge retention , and hardness. This Knife with its Copper Pins, Choke up Choil , and G10 Scales is a total package, a big knife , but once in your hands it feel so much smaller then it really is. This is due in no small part to its construction and balance, everything is Quality… The DW Backcountry and Mike Wallace. I have owned a lot of knives over my 54 Years , but never I have I owned a more well built , well designed knife for all around Backcountry Survival and Bushcraft. I have given away all my other Knives, I just have this and Mikes Field Mouse Design…… Thank You Mike and Doug
Its kinda hard to describe a knife that does it all. What can I say? Bow-drills and traps: no problem. Carving: surprisingly easy. Skinning and processing sheep, goats, chickens and fish. It absolutely blew my MIND! Made of the best materials in the market, it really comes down to the design. Mr Wallace and Mr Wilson are both outdoors-men, and their expertise is evident. This design is all about function, just hold it in the right spots and you’ll have no problem doing any kind of work, big or small. And if you’re thinking about getting one, might as well start thinking on what you want on your sheath from Yellow Hawk, a knife is not complete without a proper dressing.
Besides, Mike and Doug are great folks 😉
Combine all of these features and you’ve got yourself a priceless package, I really do not need another knife.
Thank you Mike and Doug, keep up with the good work!
Thank you, Tamir!
How long of a wait for a Delta Whiskey Back Country? Dose the $390 price include the sheath from Yellow Hawk Customs?
Thank you

The black Spear 2,that Toxic green LMF and the Green DW on the site are mine.
I also have a field mouse and field series 1.
I have been collecting knives for over 25 years and I feel fortunate enough to have had Mike create these outstanding knives for me.
Each and everyone one of them are unique and were handcrafted by Mike, the craftsmanship is UNMATCHED.
You cant assimilate the quality of Mike’s blades until you held them in your hands.
Mikes knives are like Lays potato chips, I dare you to have just one !
